Disabling Facebook Chat

The other day I mentioned to a friend that I haven't seen him on Facebook lately. He said that whenever he goes on Facebook, he gets at least eight people trying to chat with him. He doesn't want to offend anyone by ignoring their chat requests so it's easier just not to use Facebook.

Luckily there is a way to turn off chat. Here's how:

In the lower right corner of the FB page there is a little man icon with a green dot which controls chat. Click on the icon then just select Go Offline.

Now you will appear offline and your friends won't bug you.
